Bachelors Lodge is set in attractive, peaceful surroundings bounded by the river Blackwater. It offers excellent facilities to the discerning rider.

Bachelors Lodge was built in 1725 and five generations of the Lowry family, dating back to 1880, have been operating some form of equestrian industry down through the decades. Indeed it was Joseph Lowry, the current owners great grandfather and also a founder member of Navan race course, who first installed himself in this imposing early 18th century Georgian estate. The property was used as a stud farm for many years, but is now home to the superb equestrian centre.

Spread across 200 acres of farmland, Bachelors Lodge features an inviting, yet challenging competition cross country course which is available to hire. A large, all weather arena is available for schooling, dressage and jumping tuition. Farm trekking is very popular during the summer months and residential pony camps are another feature of the programme. There are qualified BHS instructors available for tuition to all standards and ages and working students are also trained for their BHS Exams. Bachelors Lodge provides full stable and grass livery to those who wish to keep their horses at the equestrian centre.
